Job summary

WellMed Medical Group, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Austin float team.

As a member of the Optum Care Delivery team, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group to deliver comprehensive, quality-focused care to a predominantly Medicare population, while focusing on efficient, patient-centered visits and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Certification through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA.
• Current Texas licensure as NP or PA.
• DEA license or ability to obtain one.
• 1+ year clinical NP/PA experience.
• Experience with Medicare-aged population.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Manage a predominantly Medicare-aged patient panel.
• Meet quality metrics and incentives.
