Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Float MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners and provide patient-centered imaging services across Seattle area clinics. You will perform a range of MRI procedures with focus on accuracy and safety.

Fully employed, 40 hours per week with Sat-Sun 12h shifts in Seattle, plus 8h shifts in Everett and Issaquah. Requires ARRT/ARMRIT, licensure, AES, and CPR; bilingual candidates encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved radiography program.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registration in good standing.
• Licensed radiologic technologist in the applicable state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screen patient prior to exam using two identifiers.
• Explain MRI procedure and position patient for scanning.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision.
• Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed.
• Follow physicians' orders, keep RIS records and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and disinfect equipment.
• Maintain MRI equipment and comply with ACR accreditation.
• Support imaging protocol manual updates and software upgrades.
• Monitor supply inventory and request needed items.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $60.00 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Float MRI Technologistto join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Float MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Shifts are Sat - Sun (12 hours in our Seattle clinic), Wed (8 hours in our Everett clinic), and Fri (8 hours in our Issaquah clinic).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
7. Certification in imaging specialty
