RAYUS Radiology in Seattle region is hiring a Float MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners and deliver patient-centered imaging services. This full-time role requires shift coverage across Seattle, Everett, and Issaquah clinics with a strong emphasis on safety and high-quality imaging.

The position offers a 40-hour work week, with shifts Sat-Sun 12-hour, Wed 8-hour, and Fri 8-hour. DailyPay is available, and EOE.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist in good standing per state regulations.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Competent to perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned MRI scanner to produce diagnostic images.
  • Screen patients before exam and verify identifiers.
  • Explain MRI procedures and position patients for scanning.
  • Adjust MRI parameters and follow physicians' orders with safety compliance.
  • Maintain RIS records and keep equipment clean and disinfected.
  • Ensure equipment is functional and comply with ACR toolkit and accreditation.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.50 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Float MRI Technologistto join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Float MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Shifts are Sat - Sun (12 hours in our Seattle clinic), Wed (8 hours in our Everett clinic), and Fri (8 hours in our Issaquah clinic).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
  • Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
  • Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
  • Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
  • Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
  • Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
  • Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
  • Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
  • Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

Requirements

Required:

  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
  • Certification in imaging specialty
