Job summary

Providence Saint John's Medical Foundation seeks a Medical Assistant II to support and float across affiliated clinics in Santa Monica. Under a licensed practitioner's delegation, you perform MA I duties and are fully competent in clinical needs for assigned locations, following policies and regulations.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on MA training.
Graduate of an MA apprenticeship program or equivalent.
Two years of medical training in US Armed Forces accepted.
At least one year of MA experience with vital signs, injections and meds.
Within 30 days of hire: BLS certification (American Heart Association).
Minimum 6 months of healthcare experience and 6 months MA experience.

Responsibilities

Assist in patient care under a licensed practitioner.
Perform MA I duties and be fully competent for assigned clinic/location.
Float across affiliated clinics in Santa Monica as directed.
