Job summary

Benedictine is seeking a Float Director of Nursing (RN) to lead nursing services across skilled nursing facilities. This on-site role in St. Louis requires clinical leadership, staff supervision, and adherence to Benedictine policies to ensure high-quality resident care.

The DON will supervise nursing and ancillary departments, manage staffing, contribute to quality improvement (QAPI), and serve as a liaison with leadership, payers, and clinicians. Some travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse in States served or assigned.
• BLS certified.
• Five (5) years of RN experience as a clinical leader or Director of Nursing in skilled nursing facilities or related settings.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative, clinical leadership and delegation of tasks for nursing staff to promote the delivery of quality care.
• Creates, supports and facilitates person-centered care plans and resident-directed services.
• Manages staffing levels based on acuity and census and negotiates service plans accordingly.
• Directs hiring, evaluation and supervision of nursing staff under the direction of the Executive Director.
• Develops and evaluates the nursing department quality assurance program.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and coordinates with regional leadership and external entities.
