Job summary

Benedictine Living in Minnesota seeks a Float Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing services across facilities, ensuring high quality, resident-centered care and policy compliance. The role involves travel between Benedictine communities, staff supervision, and collaboration with regional leadership.

The DON will manage staffing, develop training, monitor QA programs, and ensure regulatory adherence while promoting Benedictine mission and core values.

Qualifications

• Current state RN licensure in states served
• BLS certification present
• 5+ years RN leadership in SNF or related settings

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and delegation to nursing staff to ensure quality care.
• Develop and monitor person-centered care plans aligned with Benedictine standards.
• Manage budgeting and staffing based on acuity and census; adjust schedules accordingly.
• Oversee hiring, evaluation, counseling, and discipline of nursing staff.
• Support ongoing staff development and QAPI initiatives to improve care quality.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and Benedictine policies; liaise with leadership and regulators.
