Job summary

American Health Imaging is seeking a Full-Time Float CT Technologist to support multiple Georgia locations, including Lawrenceville. The role offers a consistent Mon-Fri schedule with 8:00 AM–4:00 PM shifts and mileage reimbursement for travel beyond your home base.

You will operate CT scanners, position patients, administer contrast, and ensure safety and image quality across sites. ARRT CT certification and AMA-approved radiology education are required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology.
  • 12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality.
  • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography.
  • Applicable State Licensure, where required.
  • IV credentialed if applicable.
  • BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates CT scanners and related equipment to produce cross-section images for diagnosis.
  • Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment.
  • Screen patients for CT safety prior to procedures.
  • Start IVs and administer contrast media per protocol.
  • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and label exposures appropriately.
  • Maintain safety measures in alignment with ALARA principles.

American Health Imaging is seeking a Full-Time Float CT Technologist to join our team. This position offers a consistent schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, providing excellent work-life balance.

Float locations include: Lawrenceville, Gainesville, Athens, Johns Creek, Cumming, Conyers and Decatur but could vary depending on where candidate lives.

Mileage reimbursement will be provided for travel to any locations outside of your designated home base

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates the company’s values in daily activities
  • Perform s complex tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment to produce cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues
  • Position s patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
  • Screen s patients for CT safety prior to procedure performance
  • Start s I.V.’s, administers contrast media as directed and per protocol
  • Evaluate s CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label s appropriately
  • Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice
  • Maintains knowledge of, observes , and enforces the safety measures in the Environment of Care
  • Assists in other modalities as requested and as allowed by licensure/certification
Required Knowledge, Skills , and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
  • Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
  • Knowledge of current technical skills and procedural understanding to perform a full range of scanning procedures
  • Knowledge of and adherence to ALARA principles
  • Knowledge of basic level computer skills
  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion
  • Skill in written and verbal communication
  • Ability to operate and adjust scanning and ancillary equipment
  • Ability to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically , and identify trends

Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology
