Baptist Health is seeking a PRN Community/Retail Pharmacy Technician Float to join our pharmacy team. Float locations will be between Baptist Health Louisville & Baptist Health LaGrange as needed.

The technician will perform prescription filling/dispensing, computer entry, patient information updates, POS transactions, and assist with home delivery and inventory management under pharmacist supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• If not registered, Kentucky Board of Pharmacy registration required by hire date.

Responsabilités

• Fill and dispense community prescriptions, including labeling and POS transactions.
• Deliver medications to discharging patients as requested by Pharmacist.
• Perform prescriber outreach for prescription refills under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating home delivery for prescriptions.
• Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and preparing physical inventory.
• Prioritize workflow by patient impact and ensure tasks are completed by end of shift.
• Perform simple nonsterile compounding under USP 795 guidelines and pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in training new staff when assigned.
• Escalate problems or patient complaints to the Pharmacist when unresolved.
• Attend and contribute to meetings and committees as assigned.
