Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso in El Paso, TX, seeks a Nursing Assistant for the PRN Float Pool, nights 1800-0600. You support patient care under supervision, document care activities, promote safety, and assist with activities of daily living.

Six months of experience preferred; requires Texas CNA with current CPR, HS diploma, and ability to communicate in English; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

Job Summary

Functions as a key member of the nursing care team, participating in the implementation of select components of the patient's plan of care as delegated by the Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager, and department Director. Promotes exceptional customer service with patients and their families and makes recommendations for improved patient care and the promotion and maintenance of a safe, cost-effective healthcare environment.

• - Completion of a formal nursing assistant, medical assistant or equivalent training program; or
• - Completion of a Fundamental Nursing registered nurse training program; or
• - Graduate of an international registered nurse equivalent program.
