Job summary

Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center (VNACJ CHC) seeks a Float Certified Medical Assistant to join the Primary Care team, traveling between Asbury Park, Red Bank, Freehold and Keyport to support providers and patients.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school.
• 6+ months of supervised Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Experience in EKG and phlebotomy.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Supports providers and patient workflow to keep visits smooth and efficient.
• Maintains clinical records and executes orders per standard operating procedure.
• Maintains laboratory proficiency and required log books and records.
• Coordinates medications, supplies and referrals.
• Adheres to infection control and safety policies.
• Complies with absenteeism and appearance policies.
