Job summary

UVM Health Network - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital is seeking a Clinical Assistant to float across Medical/Surgical and Progressive Care units. Under RN supervision, you will assist with patient care, specimen collection, vital signs, and daily living activities while providing friendly, efficient unit support.

You will serve as the unit front door, delivering accurate documentation and maintaining teamwork with staff, physicians, and other departments.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: work under RN direction to provide responsive, service oriented patient care.
• Testing: conduct various patient tests and specimen collection as directed by RN.
• Clerical: front door unit communication and clerical support, serving as patient and family point of contact.
