Job summary

Daviess Community Hospital is seeking a Day shift, 40 hours per week LPN or CMA to join our nursing team. The role requires active Indiana licensure as an LPN or CMA with current BLS and ongoing continuing education to meet licensure/certification requirements.

The incumbent will provide care addressing psychosocial, physical and general needs, communicate patient status and diagnostic results to the provider and care team, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold active Indiana LPN license or CMA certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must complete continuing education for licensure/certification.
• Must practice within Indiana practice acts and certifying bodies.

Responsibilities

Provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with provider and team members about patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Requirements

• Current and active Indiana licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant certification (CMA)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must maintain all required continuing education for licensure/certification.
• Must practice strictly within the legal scope defined by applicable Indiana practice acts and certifying bodies.
