Job summary

Olympic Medical Center on Washington's North Olympic Peninsula is hiring a Nursing Assistant Certified - Float to support licensed nurses across ICU/Telemetry, Med/Surg/Peds, or ED.

You'll be assigned daily to areas of need by the Staffing Office, with a requirement for WA NA-C and BLS within 30 days. Competitive pay with shift differentials and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
• One year experience in long-term or acute care setting preferred.
• Current Washington State Nursing Assistant certification (NA-C) required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant Certified - Float functions in an assistive role to the licensed nurse in the provision of patient care activities and performs activities as delegated and directed by the nurse.
• Float NA-Cs will be assigned on a daily basis to the area of need as determined by the Staffing Office/House Supervisor, and may work in ICU/Telemetry, Med/Surg/Peds, the ED, or be utilized as a Patient Care Aide (PCA) or Trained Observer.
