Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Float Certified Medical Assistant to support our North Austin location. Typical hours are Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm. The role may be level 1, 2, or Sr depending on experience, with responsibilities including patient care, room preparation, and administrative tasks.

Ideal candidates have a medical assisting credential, BCLS, and relevant clinical experience. This position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities within a leading oncology network.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BCLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record patient data including vital signs, height, weight, and medications.
• Obtain and organize patient records prior to procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam and treatment rooms and equipment.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated.
• Maintain infection control and cleaning protocols in treatment rooms.
• Answer phones and route calls; schedule follow-ups as directed.
• Enter orders under provider supervision as needed.
