Texas Oncology is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the xyz location in Texas. Typical hours are Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm. Position may be Level 1, 2, or Sr based on experience.

The role involves patient care support, administrative tasks, and adherence to compliance programs within a busy oncology clinic. LTIP may apply; competitive benefits and professional growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• BCLS/CPR certification within 3 months of hire; Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.
• Record patient data prior to each physician visit (vital signs, height, weight, allergies, med changes).
• Obtain all necessary patient records prior to treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintain exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
• Answer patient calls for referrals to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
• Place prescriptions and inform physician of reschedules or no-shows.
• Enter orders under provider direction; perform other admin duties as requested.

Formation

High school graduate or equivalent
