Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Full Time Float Ambulatory Nurse Clinician to support North Region clinics (Glenview, Deerfield, Vernon Hills, and others) across 40 hours weekly. The role involves 4, 10-hour shifts Tue–Fri, with mileage reimbursement and a float differential.

You will perform patient assessments, provide nursing interventions, and educate patients in a multidisciplinary setting. You will maintain clinical excellence, document thoroughly, and collaborate with physicians and staff

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Professional Nurse licensure in Illinois.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR certification.
• Current experience within past five years or new graduate within past two years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings.
• Conduct routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, meds administration, vital signs, and specimen prep.
• Triage and prioritize incoming calls using clinical assessment skills.
• Coordinate patient education and collaborate with other departments for care.
