Job summary

Global Medical Response in Florida is hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to maintain Bell 407 and EC135 aircraft, ensuring safety and timely patient transport.

This full-time role requires 3+ years turbine helicopter maintenance, an active A&P license, FAA knowledge, and the ability to work flexible schedules including on-call rotations. Strong teamwork with flight crews and maintenance staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Bell 407 and EC135 maintenance experience.
• 3+ years turbine helicopter maintenance with at least 6 months in last 24 months.
• Active Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Valid state driver's license.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
• Experience with EMS/aircraft maintenance systems and records.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
• Must pass FAA drug and alcohol testing.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull 100+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections, repairs, and provide statuses to Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks, update logs, and document expenditures.
• Document FAA information and follow policies while maintaining information security.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment for the maintenance team and flight crew.
• Coordinate with departments, vendors, and team members.
