Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation in Childress, TX is hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to support our Bell 407 fleet. The role maintains aircraft safety and reliability, handles mechanical inspections, repairs, and documentation, and collaborates with the Lead Technician and operations team.

This full-time position requires an A&P license, Bell 407 maintenance experience, and compliance with FAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Bell 407 maintenance experience.
• 3 years turbine helicopter maintenance in the last 24 months.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Valid State driver's license.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge.
• EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
• Must be acceptable under FAA drug and alcohol testing program.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests and document part expenditures.
• Document service paperwork and FAA information per policies and procedures while complying with company information security standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Communicate effectively to coordinate efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, AMTs and operations team.
