Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is hiring a CDL A Yard Switcher for the 3rd shift (10pm-6:30am, Mon-Fri) in Michigan. The role focuses on moving trailers, dock work, and supporting OTR drivers within a dynamic yard environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum 6 months tractor-trailer experience.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of docks.
• Move trailers between yards.
• Assist OTR drivers as needed.
• Verify trailer numbers and seals against paperwork.
• Inspect trailers for DOT cert and safety prior to movement.

Salary: $24.00/Hour 3rd Shift 10pm-6:30am Monday - Friday

Basic job duties include but not limited to:

• Moving trailers in and out of docks
• Moving trailers to and from separate yards
• Complying with all GM safety regulations
• Position is very active as the switchers are getting in and out of the trucks all day long to open and close doors when backing in and out of dock doors.
• Assisting OTR drivers
• Checking trailer numbers and seals against paperwork when moving between yards
• Inspecting trailers prior to moving them for DOT cert and general safety concerns report upward to Leads and security

What We Require:

• At least 21 years old with valid CDL A
• 6 MONTHS TRACTOR TRAILER EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
• No more than 2 preventable accident in the last 3 years
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years
