Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Flight Test Technician 3/4 to join our team at Grand Sky, Emerado, ND. The role supports maintenance, modification, and testing of aircraft systems in a dynamic Test and Evaluation environment.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED with 4–6 years of related experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret DoD clearance. Travel is expected at 25% with a 4/10 shift structure Monday–Thursday.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specs and manuals.
• Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work (lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Access to small, confined spaces and enclosed environments.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret DoD Clearance in a reasonable time.
• Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Instructs, coordinates and performs the duties of Flight Test personnel.
• Performs maintenance, repair, modification, installation, and testing tasks.
• Works from blueprints, schematics, repair manuals and technical documents.
• Performs electrical, mechanical or instrumentation maintenance and testing.
• Constructs, calibrates, tests and maintains complex aircraft equipment.
• Notifies leads of malfunctions and damages.
• Performs production accountability and quality inspections.
• May work in other related duties as assigned.
