Job summary

Apera in Los Angeles is seeking a hands-on Flight Test & Technician to support deployment, assembly, maintenance, and transportation of advanced aircraft demonstrators for global exhibitions, customer events, and test activities.

This is a highly visible role combining technical aircraft support, logistics coordination, troubleshooting, and international travel. You will work with a small team at major industry events across North America, Europe, and the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
• Experience in aviation, aerospace, motorsport, automotive, prototype development, or other highly technical environments.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and perform hands-on assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks.
• Comfortable working independently in dynamic environments and resolving technical issues under time constraints.
• Ability to lift equipment and support physical build and breakdown activities.
• Valid passport or ability to obtain one quickly, with eligibility for international travel and visa applications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, maintain, and troubleshoot high-fidelity aircraft demonstrators and associated equipment.
• Support the transportation, setup, operation, and breakdown of aircraft exhibits at trade shows, customer demonstrations, and industry events.
• Perform mechanical and electrical inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting as required.
• Ensure all assets are maintained to the highest standards of safety, quality, and presentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, logistics providers, and external vendors to ensure successful event execution.
• Manage packaging, shipping, and handling of sensitive aerospace equipment.
• Act as a professional representative of the business at customer-facing events and exhibitions.
• Support inventory management, incoming deliveries, shipping activities, and general logistics functions when based locally.

• Experience with rigging, lifting operations, or relevant certifications.
• Forklift experience or willingness to complete training.
• Familiarity with international shipping, freight, and customs processes.
• Previous experience supporting trade shows, demonstrations, exhibitions, or customer-facing events.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting capability.
