Job summary

Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced flight maintenance technician in Concord, CA. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframes, powerplants, and electrical systems, reading engineering drawings and following FAA procedures.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, high safety standards, and the ability to work extended hours and travel as needed. Candidates must hold an FAA A&P certificate and a high school diploma or equivalent, with strong English

Qualifications

• FAA A&P certificate or equivalent
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Five or more years of mechanical, electrical, and sheet metal experience
• Ability to work with electro-mechanical devices and high voltage systems; training provided
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
• General working knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring equipment
• Good communication skills; able to work independently and in a team
• Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required
• Read and speak English proficiently

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance per procedures and manuals
• Inspect aircraft per procedures and manuals
• Remove and replace airframe, powerplant, and electrical components
• Complete required documentation per FAA and company procedures
• Assist in launch and recovery, ground operations, and pre/post-flight activities
• Participate in Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) per guidelines
• Maintain and operate ground support equipment
• Contribute to updating maintenance manuals and docs
• Observe all laws and company policies; work safely
