Job summary

CHIRP Robotics in Torrance, CA is hiring a Drone Test and Integration Engineer to bridge design concepts to production-ready multirotor UAS. You will lead assembly, sub-system integration, environmental testing, and flight validation.

The role requires hands-on hardware and software integration, a Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, 2-5+ years in UAS testing, and willingness to work on-site. Base salary ranges 100k–125k with total compensation 175k–200k, plus equity.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in a closely related technical field.
• 2-5+ years of hands-on experience in systems integration, HIL testing, or flight testing for multirotor UAS.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
• On-site work in Torrance, CA.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical, mechanical, and software integration of multirotor components.
• Define and execute V&V tests, including HIL simulations and end-of-line testing.
• Serve as Test Conductor or PIC for flight campaigns and validate performance.
• Diagnose hardware/firmware/telemetry failures and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with hardware/software designers for debug ports and data logging.
• Review post-flight logs and telemetry to identify anomalies and tuning needs.
• Draft SOPs and testing documentation for scale-up production.
