Job summary

Bombardier's Learjet division in Wichita is seeking a Section Chief - Flight Test Engineer to lead the Flight Test group, oversee test planning, readiness, execution and reporting. The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and extensive aerospace experience; flight crew experience is a plus, and travel may be required.

You will develop governance for flight test procedures and drive KPI improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, and support safety initiatives within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent flight test experience; 10+ years aerospace experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written) highly valued.
• Willingness to travel and to work irregular hours; FAA medical certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Flight Test Engineers within the BFTC Flight Operations group.
• Develop governance of flight test policies and procedures and monitor KPIs.
• Daily duties include test planning, readiness, execution and reporting; coordinate test aircraft and equipment.
