Job summary

AVIAN in Patuxent River, MD is hiring a Flight Test Engineer to support PMA-231/E-2D for Naval Test Wing Atlantic. You’ll join the E-2D DSSC Global Lightening Integration team on site at NAS Patuxent River, MD. As an employee-owner, you’ll contribute to test planning, execution, and reporting while collaborating with a cross-functional team and leading test activities.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain DoD TS/SAP clearance; E-2D experience and NAVAIR program office background

Qualifications

• Experience in flight-test planning, execution and reporting.
• Support to the Project Engineer and Integrated Flight Test teams.
• Familiarity with networking and data links.
• E-2D program experience preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD TS/SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning, Execution, Analysis and Reporting.
• Support to the Project Engineer.
• Coordination with the Integrated Flight Test and Evaluation Team.
• Ability to work with and understand integrated Networking and Data Links.
• System of System capability.
• Coordination with Lead Test Engineer.
• Test Pilot School graduate (preferred).
• Prior E-2D experience (preferred).
• 10 years of NAVAIR Program Office Experience (preferred).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SAP clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for sensitivity reasons.
• Salary range $160,000 - $190,000 (The offered rate will be based on the candidate’s knowledge, etc.).
