Job summary

CoAspire, a defense manufacturing leader in Northern Virginia, seeks a Flight Test Engineer to plan, coordinate, execute, and analyze developmental and operational flight tests of missile and weapons systems.

The role involves collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and test leadership, ensuring test events validate performance, safety, and mission effectiveness across realistic profiles.

Qualifications

• 2–8 years of experience in aerospace test and evaluation, with hands-on experience supporting or leading aspects of flight testing.
• Familiarity with aerospace/defense standards (MIL-STD, DO-178 or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with emphasis on safety and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for missile flight tests (ground and open-air campaigns).
• Support test operations, monitor performance, ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Define objectives and data requirements; integrate modeling/simulation with live testing.
• Analyze test data, diagnose anomalies, and recommend improvements.
• Contribute to test data reduction and reporting; prepare technical documentation.
