Job summary

Heven AeroTech is seeking a Flight Test Engineer to plan, execute, and analyze ground and flight tests for prototype vehicles. You will own end-to-end test events, develop plans, and generate data-driven results while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Applicants should have 3–7 years in flight/test engineering, strong MATLAB/Python skills, and solid instrumentation experience. English fluency and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–7 years in flight or complex systems test engineering.
• Ability to plan, execute, and report test events with minimal supervision.
• Strong grasp of vehicle performance, stability, and flight mechanics.
• Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for analysis.
• Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition quality.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop flight and ground test plans, test cards, and procedures.
• Define test objectives and data requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Lead test readiness activities and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, procedures, and results.
• Act as test conductor for on-site operations and logging.
• Plan envelope build-up and expansion with safety emphasis.
• Execute ground and bench testing to retire risk pre-flight.
• Specify and validate instrumentation, data acquisition, and telemetry.
• Perform post-test data reduction and analysis with MATLAB/Python.
• Author test reports and discuss results with teams.
• Update models when configurations change.
• Coordinate integration testing of avionics and sensors.
• Drive verification and validation with auditable artifacts.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
