Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–7 years in flight/ground/test engineering with documented results.
• Proficient with MATLAB and/or Python for data analysis.
• Understanding of vehicle performance, stability and control, and flight mechanics.
• Experience planning, executing, and reporting test events with limited supervision.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• English proficiency required; US work authorization required; ITAR/EAR considerations.

Responsibilities

• Develop flight and ground test plans, cards, and procedures and identify gaps early.
• Lead test readiness activities, including instrumentation checks and test logging.
• Own traceability between requirements, procedures, and results with clear documentation.
• Act as test conductor for field operations and coordinate with operators and maintainers.
• Plan envelope build-up, execute risk-reducing tests, and improve efficiency.
• Perform post-test data reduction and analysis using MATLAB/Python and present findings.
• Write test reports and present results; update models after configuration changes.
• Support weight, center of gravity, and static stability analyses.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to safety reviews and risk mitigation.
