Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises in Huntsville, AL seeks a Range Safety & Flight Termination Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency. You will lead flight termination systems expertise across tests, development, and verification activities for complex DoD programs.

The role requires substantial experience in flight termination, RCC-319/324, and range-tracking concepts, with readiness to travel for mission deployments and government reviews.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s with extensive DoD program experience.
• Background in flight termination and ordnance systems.
• Experience with RCC-319 and RCC-324 standards.
• Knowledge of range tracking architectures (GPS/IMU/C-band).
• Willingness to travel for deployments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Range Safety expert for flight tests and design reviews.
• Oversee requirements development and verification for FTS products.
• Supervise hardware/software development, qualification, integration, checkout.
• Produce technical reports with status, findings, and recommendations.
• Represent stakeholders in working groups and customer forums.
