Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Huntsville, AL seeks a highly experienced Range Safety & Flight Termination Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency's Targets and Countermeasures Engineering Directorate.

You will oversee flight termination systems, participate in flight tests, and lead technical reviews with government stakeholders. The role requires an MS with 12+ years or a BA/BS with 20+ years in missile defense, active DoD clearance, and strong expertise in RCC-319 and RCC-324 standards.

Qualifications

• Requires MS degree with 12+ years in missile defense or DoD programs, or BA/BS with 20+ years experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Demonstrated background in flight termination and ordnance systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Range Safety expert for flight tests and termination testing.
• Oversee requirements development, allocation and verification for target system FTS products.
• Author technical reports detailing system status and recommendations.
• Represent government stakeholders in working groups and design reviews.
