Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Hawthorne, CA, seeks a Software Engineer in Special Programs to design, develop, and own high-stakes software powering simulation and flight systems across the design–build–test–operate pipeline.

You'll work across teams to build real-time, high-throughput software, with opportunities for stock options and comprehensive benefits; TS clearance or willingness to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field with 1+ years of software development experience, or 3+ years without a degree.
• Experience with systems programming languages such as C++, Rust, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly develop prototypes that prove key design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
• Develop high-performance modules for real-time flight systems data streaming.
• Contribute to test automation processes and CI/CD infrastructure.
• Create and maintain high-fidelity simulation and flight software for all vehicles.
• Continually raise the bar for reliability, performance, and scalability of our simulation and flight platforms.
• Partner closely with engineers and customers to design and deliver new features that dramatically improve system capabilities and performance.
