Job summary

METECS, an engineering and applied technology company, invites a Flight Software Engineer to support NASA’s SR-1 Freedom vehicle. You will participate across the software development life cycle—from systems engineering, design and development through testing, verification and validation, and certification.

On-site presence at NASA’s Johnson Space Center is required. Ideal candidates bring strong skills in C/C++, Python, and Linux, plus excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Advanced Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Good working knowledge of C, C++, and Python.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Software development in a Linux environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the full software development life cycle from design through testing and certification.
• Contribute to software design, development, integration, verification, and validation for flight software.
• Work on-site at NASA's Johnson Space Center to support SR-1 Freedom project.
