Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Flight Software Engineer to join a highly technical, multidisciplinary team building the software stack for operating spacecraft. The role offers hands-on ownership across flight software, embedded Linux, spacecraft interfaces, controls and hardware integration.

You will work on spacecraft reliability, product interface development, and software-to-software as well as software-to-human interfaces within a cross-functional team covering radio, data management, attitude control

Qualifications

3+ years building taskable software stacks (e.g., web servers or similar).
Experience with service-based architectures and interface design.
Experience with Linux drivers and /dev interfaces.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Spacecraft reliability: observability, testing, bug fixing, and best practices.
Product interface development for payload and ground interactions.
Developing software interfaces with a product mindset.
Cross-functional software engineering across radio, data management, attitude control, and safety.
Applying modular software practices to limit complexity.
Developing and evolving the flight software service stack.
