Job summary

ATR International seeks a Senior Embedded Flight Software Engineer to join our team in Palo Alto, CA, with the option to work remotely within the U.S. and periodic visits to the Palo Alto office.

You’ll contribute to NASA Artemis program efforts and flight software for space systems. You will design and implement embedded software, develop verification plans, and lead software life cycle activities across multicore architectures, RTOS, and mission-critical interfaces.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, CS, or related field; four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• 15 years of software development experience.
• Embedded C++ programming on multicore architectures.
• Experience with VxWorks and cFS.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software for embedded RTOS.
• Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for flight software systems.
• Develop software verification plans, unit level and open loop test suites, and procedures, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure that software system requirements are met.
• Perform software product life cycle management.
• Develop, select, tailor, and deploy software processes, tools, and metrics.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, processes, and system-specific issues.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Ability to travel to Palo Alto, CA office as needed.

The Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intuitive Machines, is currently seeking a Senior Embedded Flight Software Engineer to join our team in our Palo Alto, CA offices. This role may also be performed remotely within the U.S. with periodic visits to our Palo Alto location. In this role, you will work on a variety of challenging projects including NASA’s Artemis program, the Power Propulsion Element.

The Company builds spacecraft, connects networks, and operates infrastructure-as-a-service for commercial, civil, and national security customers. With a proven track record across the space domain, the Company, through organic growth and portfolio expansion, has built over 300 spacecraft, delivered over 260 kilograms of payload to the lunar surface, and provided precision navigation expertise that has guided spacecraft across our solar system.
