Job summary

V2X is seeking a Simulator Technician II at Fort Riley, Kansas. You will perform scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on training simulators, ensuring configurations align with manuals and InSITE records.

You will coordinate with leads to avoid conflicts with training, track warranties, and verify system interoperability. You must handle hardware and software upgrades, analyze trends, and support reliability improvements while meeting safety and DoD requirements.

Qualifications

• Intermediate computer and networking skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance within 6 months.
• Willing to wear PPE when required.
• Experience using torque wrenches, volt/micrometers, network tools, solder stations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Electrical and mechanical adjustment and component replacement.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled, preventive, corrective maintenance and configuration on simulators.
• Coordinate with leads to avoid conflicts with training, exercises, and testing.
• Record maintenance activities in real-time in InSITE.
• Adhere to warranty terms and track by part number and location.
• Set up and test simulation equipment for interoperability and operation verification.
• Analyze maintenance trends, manage obsolescence, and reduce risk.
• Install modifications or upgrade kits per manufacturer instructions.
• Install and maintain software/hardware patches and security for installed applications and OS.
