Job summary

V2X seeks a skilled Simulator Technician II to perform scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on virtual ground aviation and gunnery simulators at Fort Benning, GA. You will work with leads to coordinate tasks, record activities in InSITE, and ensure hardware and software integrity across platforms.

Responsibilities include installing upgrades, managing obsolescence, and validating interoperability.

Qualifications

• Advanced computer and networking skills required.
• Experience with Windows, Linux and Unix operating systems.
• Valid driver's license and On-Post driving privileges.
• Must wear PPE as required.
• Experience using test equipment and maintenance tools.
• Electrical and mechanical repair experience as needed.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on CCTT, AVCATT, and related simulators.
• Coordinate with leads to avoid conflicts with training, exercises, and testing.
• Record maintenance activities in real-time in InSITE.
• Adhere to warranty terms and track items by part and serial number.
• Set up and test simulation equipment for interoperability and operation verification.
• Analyze maintenance trends and manage obsolescence and risk.
• Install modifications or upgrade kits per manufacturer instructions.
• May install and maintain software/hardware and manage patches and security for installed systems.
