Textron is offering a 2027 internship in Wichita for a Flight Simulation/Test Lab Engineer. You will design/operate development flight simulators and certify components using advanced lab equipment in a DO-160 compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Setup flight simulators for test conditions and record test data
• Coordinate with other Engineering groups to verify aircraft design and procedures
• Develop and troubleshoot computer models to match aircraft systems
• Develop and troubleshoot simulator wire harnesses and I/O systems
• Setup of electrical circuits and mechanical test apparatus for test setups
• Operation of generators and multichannel oscilloscope
• Repair of electrical test equipment
• Design and assembly of vibration fixtures
• Troubleshooting of test setups and chamber operation
