Job summary

Textron Aviation offers a hands-on internship creating and testing flight simulators and evaluating aircraft components in a lab setting. You’ll participate in DO-160 certification activities, develop models, and troubleshoot wiring and I/O systems with guidance from engineers.

You will gain experience in multi-disciplinary testing, lab infrastructure, and data analysis while contributing to real projects in a supportive Textron team environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, EE Technology, Mechanical Eng, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Setup flight simulators for test conditions and record test data
• Coordinate with other Engineering groups to verify aircraft design and procedures
• Develop and troubleshoot computer models to match aircraft systems
• Develop and troubleshoot simulator wire harnesses and I/O systems
• Setup of electrical circuits and mechanical test apparatus for test setups
• Operation of generators and multichannel oscilloscope
• Repair of electrical test equipment
• Design and assembly of vibration fixtures
• Troubleshooting of test setups and chamber operation
