Job summary

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is seeking Federal Air Marshals to protect commercial flights from terrorism, operating both in the air and on the ground. This role demands discretion, physical readiness, and readiness to travel frequently.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, at least 21, and pass comprehensive background investigations and security clearances. Training is required, and assignments may be in Davis or other locations with irregular schedules.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible experience or a bachelor’s degree or higher requirement.
• Discretion, sound judgment, and independence in high-pressure environments.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and meet security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Protect commercial passenger flights from terrorism and other threats.
• Work discreetly aboard domestic and international flights.
• Carry a firearm and maintain proficiency as a federal officer.
• Conduct law enforcement, investigative, and advisory activities.
• Identify and interview witnesses or suspects when required.
• Participate in multi-agency operations with other agencies.
