Job summary

MercyOne Air Med is seeking an experienced Flight Nurse to deliver lifesaving critical care during air and ground transports across all ages. The role emphasizes advanced clinical practice, teamwork, and aviation medicine in fast-paced environments.

Required RN experience (3+ years in Emergency/ICU/Flight Nursing) or equivalent Flight Paramedic path, plus mandatory BLS/ACLS/PALS, NRPs and trauma certifications. Equal opportunity employer offering growth and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of RN experience in Emergency, Critical Care, or Flight Nursing.
• 3+ years as Flight Paramedic with 1 year RN experience and 1,800 RN hours could fulfill requirements.
• Current Iowa RN license (or Iowa/Illinois RN license for applicable MercyOne Genesis locations)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required at hire
• NRP required within 3 months
• Trauma certification (TNCC, ATLS, ATCN, TPATC, TNATC, or equivalent) within 6 months
• CEN, CCRN, CFRN, or CTRN certification within 2 years
