Qualifications

  • Requires State Respiratory Care Practitioner License and RRT certification.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider program provided during orientation.
  • Trauma certification within 12 months and advanced certification within 24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Assess situations to determine best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care.
  • Utilize critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured adults or pediatrics and follow physicians' orders.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment with regular equipment and base checks.
  • Communicate effectively with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
  • Share shift change information and maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.
