Job summary

Capella Space is seeking a Staff Electrical Harness Design Engineer based in Louisville, CO, onsite with some remote work. You will own full harness design from concept to flight readiness and collaborate with mechanical, RF, electrical, and systems teams to deliver high-reliability space-ready harnesses.

The role requires 5+ years designing complex harnesses, knowledge of RF cabling and EMI/EMC, and experience with end-to-end product lifecycles.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical/Mechanical Eng or related field.
5+ years designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex harnesses.
Experience with end-to-end product lifecycle.
Knowledge of RF cabling and EMI/EMC.
Familiarity with NASA-STD-8739.4 / IPC/WHMA‑A‑620.
ITAR and U.S. export controls compliance.

Responsibilities

Design system-level harnesses from power distribution to high-speed communications.
Own harness design lifecycle and implement best practices.
Collaborate across mechanical, RF, electrical, and systems teams.
Technical contact for wire, cable, connector, and harness suppliers.
Support resolving non-conformances from harness suppliers.
Define test plans and verification strategies for flight readiness.
Provide input to schedule planning and hardware requirements.
