Job summary

Actalent seeks an Embedded Systems Engineer to design, implement, and verify firmware for small unmanned aircraft systems. You will work across flight-controller integration, battery management, motor control, and security enhancements, shipping code on real aircraft with hands-on hardware involvement.

Key tasks include developing firmware in C/C++ for STM32 MCUs, integrating PX4, building drivers for SPI/I2C/UART/CAN, and supporting board bring-up and field testing in a startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional embedded C/C++ firmware experience shipped in a product.
• Experience with STM32 or similar ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers and RTOS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ for STM32 and similar MCUs.
• Integrate with PX4-based flight-control stack for small unmanned aircraft systems.
• Design device drivers and control loops using SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN.
• Support board bring-up and hardware verification with electronics team.
