Job summary

Boeing Commercial Airplanes in North Charleston, SC is seeking an Associate or Experienced Flight Readiness Technician (Level B) for a contract assignment. The role supports the 787 Program at the South Carolina Delivery Center, performing flight readiness tasks onsite and ensuring delivery readiness.

Responsibilities include installation, testing, troubleshooting, and pre/post-flight checks, with emphasis on safety and quality. Shift is variable and onsite.

Qualifications

6 months avionics/electrical experience.
6 months experience with live aircraft systems.
6 months knowledge with FOD risk.
Willing to work any shift including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.
Assists in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate faults and repairs.
Assists with pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions.
Verifies the accuracy of work and may conduct self-inspection.
Assists in performing system and sub-system pre-delivery inspections.
Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with guidance from lead.
