Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Propulsion Engineer (Raptor Flight) to take hardware from concept through flight operations and back for re-flight. You will work with brilliant engineers to rapidly develop methods for airline-like operations for the highest performing rocket engines in the world.

Responsibilities include design, analysis, development engineering, and flight operations tasks for Raptor propulsion; collaborate across disciplines; support live test and flight operations; develop test plans;

Qualifications

• Understanding of engineering fundamentals and ability to perform basic analysis.
• Experience applying physics and math to solve propulsion problems.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform design, analysis, development engineering, and flight operations tasks for Raptor propulsion systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians across multiple disciplines to ensure reliability and performance.
• Support live test and flight operations as console operator and participate in data reviews.
• Develop test plans and analyze results to inform test and flight operations.
• Implement verification processes through automation and disciplined controls.
