Job summary

Med-Trans is hiring a Flight Paramedic to join a team of air-transport specialists providing advanced life support during patient transport and scene calls. You will operate within strict safety standards and contribute to high-quality patient care.

The position requires significant 911/critical care experience, EMT-P licensure in applicable states, and FP-C certification within 24 months. A strong commitment to safety, documentation, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license in the states served.
• FP-C certification within 24 months of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/PEPP/ITLS/PHTLS preferred; NREMT-P may be required in assigned area.
• Maintain safety, licensure, continuing education, and documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight on time.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from first contact to handoff.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, CE, safety, and procedures as required.
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies used by emergency teams.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS partners, hospitals, and the public.
• Participate in pre-mission briefings/debriefings and required documentation.
• Assist in liftoff and navigation tasks as needed; follow safety protocols.
• Fill open or vacant shifts within the area as directed by Regional Director.
