Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment is seeking a Flight Paramedic for a full-time role in Redding, CA. You will deliver critical pre-hospital and in-flight care, supporting rapid medical transport during emergencies.

Collaborate with flight crews, maintain equipment, and participate in ongoing training. The position requires state Paramedic Certification, 3+ years’ field experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/ITLS with FP-C within 24 months; weight limit 235 lbs; 2/5 schedule rotation.

Qualifications

• Active Paramedic Certification in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 3 years of paramedic field experience in a busy 911/pre-hospital service (5 years preferred).
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and PHTLS/ITLS (NRP and instructor certifications preferred).
• FP-C certification within 24 months of hire.
• Flight or transport experience preferred.
• Successful completion of the Medical Group education/orientation program.
• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal clarity in person and over the phone.
• Basic computer skills for electronic charting, email, and reporting.
• Ability to pass a pre-placement physical exam, functional capacity exam (strength andflexibility assessment, including lifting up to 100 pounds), drug screening,and background check.
• Must maintain body weight below 235 lbs per flight policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical pre-hospital and in-flight medical care in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with flight teams, patients, and external healthcare providers.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment and supplies to ensure readiness for emergencies.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and elevate care standards.
• 2/5 schedule rotation.
