Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation in Eufaula, OK is hiring a Flight Paramedic to join our air transportation team. You will safely transport patients to and from medical facilities and assist with scene calls, working with a professional team dedicated to high safety standards and quality patient care.

Starting range is $21.34–$40.99 per hour, with two 24-hour shifts weekly. Company-paid crew housing is provided during shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Daily base checks, which includes narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished.
• Maintain documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures.
• Knowledgeable in use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
• Functions as a medical flight member.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings and complete necessary documentation.
• Assists in pre-mission liftoff checklist and Pilot assistance when needed.
• Complies with safety standards to assure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff.
• Conducts aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Responsible for filling open or vacant shifts within assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.
