Job summary

HCA Houston AirLife is seeking a qualified Flight Paramedic to provide high-level pre-hospital life support and patient care during transport. You will operate across mission lifecycles, maintain documentation, and ensure safety at all times.

Eligible candidates hold ACLS, BLS, PALS, FP-C, and paramedic licensure, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Expect a challenging role with ongoing training and cross-functional collaboration within HCA Healthcare's AirLife programs.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation must be obtained within 90 days of start.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.
• Paramedic license.
• FP-C certification must be obtained within 2 years.
• ATLS / Trauma Life Support or equivalent course required.
• No travel requirement.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a paramedic.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital advanced life support from first contact to handoff to accepting facility; maintain documentation.
• Operate within base/state scope of practice and ensure safety throughout transport.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training and licensure updates.
• Document licensure, certifications, continuing education, aviation and safety training; attend required education.
• Maintain equipment and supplies onboard aircraft; report equipment failures and coordinate repairs.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and support pilot activities as needed.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings; complete all required documentation.
• Participate in outreach, education activities, and departmental projects.
