Join to apply for the Flight Paramedic role at Air Evac Lifeteam

We’re hiring a Flight Paramedic to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective, and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services. You’ll work on a professional team committed to high safety standards for both the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is transferred to the accepting medical facility, maintaining thorough documentation.
• Maintain competency in knowledge and skills through ongoing training and clinical experiences.
• Keep documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures up to date in the Employee Education Manual.
• Use and maintain all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Participate as a medical flight team member.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and debriefings, completing necessary documentation.
• Assist with pre-mission checklists and pilot assistance, including radio, navigation, and visual activities.
• Follow safety standards to ensure safety of all personnel, patients, and equipment prior to liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fill open shifts within the assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of experience in a 911 or critical care setting.

Preferred Education and Certifications

• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certifications required before flight status.
• Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred; required within 24 months of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in specific areas.
